5 Rules to Survive Quarantine
Have you ever played that game called “Never have I ever”? Well never have I ever in a million years thought that I would be homeschooling my two boys. Yet here I am a month and a half later and I’m still surrounded by zoom meetings, school schedules, and stand up whiteboards. It has been such a surreal experience.
It has been such a surreal experience.
In the beginning, I tried so hard to do everything right. By the end of each day, I was exhausted, frustrated, and just felt so defeated. Even though everyone was going through this I just felt so alone. I was so stressed. It started to get easier after I began sharing my struggles with others and I recognized I wasn’t alone.
After I read that I felt like it gave me permission to relax and not be so hard on myself.
Then my “a-ha Oprah-Esque” moment was when I read an article relating to the quarantine and it said it was okay to be a B- parent and not an A+ parent. After I read that I felt like it gave me permission to relax and not be so hard on myself. Hopefully, we are almost done with this lockdown, but in the meantime here are my 5 rules to survive quarantine and make life manageable…
1- Bubble baths with salts and oils and a face mask

2- Reading a book or magazine

3- Wine and cheese happy hour

4- Learning a new hobby

5- Taking a class online
